Week 1:
Monday (1/7): Welcome back! Semester overview; notes on the rhetorical triangle
Tuesday (1/8): Finish notes from yesterday; "I have a Dream" speech activity
Wednesday (1/9): Introduce vocab list 1; persuasive writing notes
Thursday (1/10): Introduce research project; general topic needs to be chosen by tomorrow
Friday (1/11): Research topic chosen; introduction to database sources with Mrs. Lin Lee in the media center -- need to have two sources by Monday!
Week 2:
Monday (1/14): Conference with Mrs. Garth about research topic; work on focus question; thesis statement PPT
Tuesday (1/15): Counter argument PPT; work on intro paragraph and counter argument paragraph
Wednesday (1/16): Must have all sources, intro paragraph, and counter paragraph by Friday
Thursday (1/17): Introduction to Macbeth PPT; read scenes 1 and 2 as a class
Friday (1/18): Meet with Mrs. Garth about course recommendations for next year; fastbridge testing; act 1 scene 1 Macbeth film adaptation activity
